According to § 22 f. KunstUrhG (Right to one’s own image) and the Eurofurence Rules of Conduct (RoC), you are allowed to take private recordings (photo/video/audio) on the event premises as long as these are not published (e.g., on YouTube, Mastodon, Bluesky, Pixelfed, or similar) unless the consent of the persons depicted in the recordings is obtained or can be explicitly assumed. The exceptions of § 23 regarding “gatherings, demonstrations, and similar events” do not apply, as Eurofurence is a private event accessible only to registered participants and therefore does not constitute a “public gathering” within the meaning of § 23 para. 1 no. 3 KunstUrhG. In simpler terms: Eurofurence (Security) will not stop you from taking recordings unless you enter specific areas with a photo/video prohibition, such as the Fursuit Lounge. However, you are fully responsible for complying with applicable laws regarding the publication of your recordings. For all recordings made on the event premises which are published, Eurofurence e.V. reserves the right to an non-exclusive, unlimited right of use for all types of utilization under § 31 UrhG, as stated in the binding RoC. By attending the event or based on the house rules, you explicitly agree to this. This grants Eurofurence the right to use all recordings made at the event and subsequently published, for example, in collages or social media posts. The author will be credited where identifiable. In simpler terms: your recordings belong to you, but if you publish them, you automatically grant Eurofurence e.V. an unlimited license to use them, similar to a CC-BY-NC license. Du bist aber für die Einhaltung der einschlägigen Gesetze zur Veröffentlichung in Bezug auf deine Aufnahmen selbst voll verantwortlich. An allen auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände entstandenen und veröffentlichten Aufnahmen behält sich der Eurofurence e.V. gemäß der verbindlichen RoC ein einfaches, unbeschränktes Nutzungsrecht für alle Nutzungsarten gemäß § 31 UrhG vor, welchem du durch deine Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung bzw. auf Basis der Hausordnung explizit zustimmst. Dies gibt Eurofurence das Recht, alle auf der Veranstaltung entstandenen und veröffentlichten Aufnahmen beispielsweise in Collagen oder Social Media Posts zu nutzen. Hierbei wird der Urheber genannt, soweit dieser festzustellen ist. Einfach ausgedrückt: deine selbst gemachten Aufnahmen gehören selbstverständlich dir selbst, aber wenn du sie veröffentlichst, dann räumst du dem Eurofurence e.V. automatisch eine unbeschränkte Lizenz zur Nutzung ein, die etwa der CC-BY-NC entspricht. Durch die Eurofurence RoC ist die Anfertigung von Aufnahmen zu kommerziellen Zwecken auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände von einer Erlaubnis des Board of Directors (BoD) abhängig. Für sämtliche Nutzung im Rahmen von gewerblichen Medienerzeugnissen (z. B. Zeitungen, TV, Stock Photo, Magazine, Dokumentarfilme, Spielfilme, Werbung, etc.) ist die Registrierung und Zulassung als Pressevertreter vor Ort oder im Vorfeld der Veranstaltung unbedingt erforderlich. Die Anmeldung muss über das Kontaktformular auf https://help.eurofurence.org/ an das Press & Media Relations Department gestellt werden. Für Pressevertreter gelten besondere Bedingungen. Der grundsätzliche Erlaubnisvorbehalt kommerzieller Aufnahmen betrifft praktisch auch bezahlte Photo-/Videoshoots von Fandom-Fotografen für Teilnehmer. Um eine solche zu erhalten, ist die Registrierung und Zulassung im Vorfeld der Veranstaltung erforderlich. Einfach ausgedrückt: Wenn du Pressevertreter bist und deine Aufnahmen anderswo zu Geld machen willst, oder wenn du Aufnahmen im Auftrag von Teilnehmern von diesen gegen Geld anfertigen willst, dann musst du dies vorher anmelden und eine explizite Genehmigung erhalten.
